Biography
It seems like yesterday that I picked
up a guitar and tried to play, my fingers aching after trying to coerce
them into a D major. I owe the inspiration to Frank my hairdresser, who
convinced me that learning to play an instrument was something that would
remain with me for life.
Years have passed since that precious
moment and I guess Frank didn’t know how right he was. I don’t think I ever
intended to share my songs with anyone. Writing was a very helpful process
for me, a very powerful form of expression which words alone failed to accomplish.
And the bigger surprise is you. There is a sense of delight in knowing that
my listeners can “connect” to the songs. And I mean this on any level, be
it the instrumentation, the lyrics, or even just the general feel of the
song.
So hear I am typing away, trying hard
to write more songs. And believe me it’s not for the success of a new
project. Concerts are great, but I think I’d feel like a failure if I didn’t
get a message across. The songs give me a small window to share my side of
things, and hopefully to inspire you as a listener. I really wish I could
sit down and have a coffee with everyone, and explain things in a deeper
way, but if all I have is a 4 minute slot then I really want to make that
count.
I hope you’ll enjoy the new album as
songs are slowly released. I hope the project will be finished by the end
